What isn’t covered in the manufacturer’s warranty?

Glenbrook Hyundai is know for having America’s Best warranty.  The warranty on a Happy Car Store Hyundai is:

Here is a list of some other manufacturer‘s warranties:

The term “bumper to bumper” has been abused over the years.  There are certain wear items that are not covered under any manufacturer warranty.  Brake pads, light bulbs, belts are all things that will wear out over time.  These “wear” items will only be covered on a new car for the first 12 months.  After that, they will not be covered.

The only other gray area with warranties is maintenance.  The manufacturer requires a certain amount of basic minimum services.  Some of these are oil changes, transmission services, tire rotations, etc.  These are preventative maintenance items that could affect the longevity of your new Hyundai.  It is recommended to do these items at your new car dealer for a few reasons:

  • All records will be stored with Hyundai in the event of a claim
  • Lack of maintenance or proof of maintenance could void your factory warranty
  • Technicians are trained by the people that designed and built your vehicle
  • Factory technicians know what to look for.  After servicing hundreds of cars like yours they can spot issues before they happen
  • Service customers earn special discounts when visiting the sales department
  • Glenbrook Hyundai has thousands of dollars in tools designed specifically for your vehicle
  • Everything the Happy Car Store offers is backed by warranty and factory or technician approved
  • It is a common misconception that dealer service departments are over priced.  In fact, everything is competitively priced with non-factory backed service departments in the area.
  • One stop shopping…we offer tires, window tint, oil changes, detail services, etc ALL in one place!
  • Wash and Vacuum after every service
