Every day is an opportunity to make a difference. Hyundai Hope on Wheels is doing just that as it prepares to host its annual 5K Run/Walk later this month. Proceeds from the event will go to benefit cancer research at the Hyundai Cancer Institute at CHOC Children’s.
“September is an important time for all of us at Hyundai because it is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month,” said Dave Zuchowski, Hyundai Motor America president and CEO. “We are committed to supporting childhood cancer research at children’s hospitals nationwide and are especially proud to support the Hyundai Cancer Institute at CHOC Children’s through this special annual 5K in our own backyard.”
The race in Fountain Valley, California is just one event in Hyundai’s month-long campaign to raise funds for pediatric cancer research.
Hyundai is also using the campaign to introduce its Every Handprint Tells A Story initiative. Through the program, Hyundai gives everyone a chance to share his or her story and get involved in the fight against children’s cancer.
We at Glenbrook Hyundai are proud to be a part of honoring National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. What are you doing to make a positive difference in our community? Let us know in the comments!
