If you’re looking for an elegant sedan—but want an incredible amount of efficiency as well—then look no further than the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. The new hybrid sedan showed up at the 2015 North American International Auto Show, now offering a plug-in hybrid version. The second generation Sonata Hybrid, therefore, offers more variety and efficiency than ever before.
The Sonata Hybrid runs on a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine, with a six-speed automatic transmission and a 38 kW electric motor to boot. The plug-in version of the model has a 50 kW electric motor instead, plus a 9.8 kW battery pack. The hybrid can go up to 75 mph on electric power alone, run for 22 miles on without using a drop of gasoline, and of course, keep you out of the gas station for longer.
You’ll be able to recharge the Hybrid Plug-In model in as little as two and a half hours. To learn more about the upgrades to both the Hybrid and Hybrid Plug-In, come see us at Glenbrook Hyundai today. We’re excited to see these great sedans take over the EV market, and we want you to be part of the revolution.
